I’ll keep this short and sweet. Carnival is now selling cruises for dirt cheap. Sailings from San Diego to Mexico are now $99. This definitely won’t last, but if you can sail on Oct 19th or 26th is for you. The $99 rate applies to Inside cabins, but Oceanview staterooms are only $119.

Let’s do some quick math together.

A 3 day all inclusive Carnival Cruise is $129. This cruise isn’t sailing in 2010, or 2011. Actually it sets sail on October 19, 2009. If this fits into your schedule you can set sail for $129 which turns out to be $43 per day.

You’d pay more to stay at a 2 star hotel in San Diego and you won’t get to sail to Mexico, your food and entertainment won’t be taken care of and it probably won’t be all that much fun.

Get A Free Carnival Cruise (Yes, Really!)

This is not a drill. It isn’t an April Fools Day joke either. You may not know it, but you have an opportunity to get a free Carnival cruise.

The free cruise is all a part of Carnival’s Virtual Book of Dreams promotion. The promotion is open for all kids ages 7 to 12 and the winner gets a trip to New York as well as a free cruise aboard the new Carnival Dream. Here are the details from Carnival.com:

To Enter:

The parent or legal guardian (”Parent”) of a child between the ages of 7 and 12 years of age, at the time of entry, must complete the electronic entry form and permission acknowledgement with all information requested, which will include:

A paragraph written by the child (no more than 250 words) completing the thought: “I’m always dreaming up fun stuff. Wouldn’t it be awesome if . . .”

Drawing made by the child illustrating the paragraph (file size up to 10MB);

Parent’s full name;

Child’s age and first name only;

Parent’s email address;

Parent’s phone number(s);

City, State and Zip Code of residence;

Parent’s relationship to child; and Parent’s acceptance of these Official Rules and permission for the child’s participation in the contest.

The contest ends in mid-September so if you want to make sure that you’ll be able to qualify for the free cruise, you better start working.

Carnival Early Saver Rates May Be Your Best Bet For A Cruise Deal

Carnival has had Early Saver rates on their Carnival.com website ever since the beginning of this year. Since them thousands of people have taken advantage of getting the best deal on an already low priced Carnival cruise, with the guarantee that if a better price comes along that you’ll be able to get that lower price.

The only sticking point is that you have to book in advance in order to secure the price. Most people already book in the future, but it’s added incentive to make sure that you’re able to cement your travel details and stop thinking about anything else past there.

While it may be true that cruise prices may rise into 2010, you don’t need to worry as long as you’re able to take advantage of these great rates. Right now Carnival is promoting that you’re able to get Early Saver rates for as low as $70 per day per person. This may be even lower if you’re looking to take a cruise from out west in San Diego or Los Angeles (Long Beach).

Carnival Dream Cruise To Nowhere New York

Some of you guys want to just get on a cruise and not go anywhere. We didn’t know that until we started crunching the numbers and seeing the searches. We noticed that there are quite a few people (including yourself) who would love nothing more than to go nowhere on a cruise.

We also found out that a lot of people want to ride on the Carnival Dream. The pictures above are rare interior pictures of this spectacular cruise ship. The Carnival Dream is the most spectacular cruise ship in the world. Well, at least that’s what we think and we are far from alone. Anyway, if you want to cruise on the Carnival Dream and go that great place called Nowhere, New York, then we have something for you.

The cruise doesn’t begin until November 13. So that gives you a little time to make up your mind. But if you do decide to go, check out what our friends at Cruise Direct wanted us to show you.

No I’m not going on this trip with you. But I bet you could find someone worth taking. If you’re on the West coast, Mexico is only a short trip down the coast and it’s beautiful all the way down. Mexico is one of the top destinations for all cruises. And every one I’ve talked to loves it. If you haven’t been on a Mexican Cruise you can check out more info with our friends at Cruise Critic
